We've changed the memorial setup process

We asked for your feedback in a recent Customer Satisfaction survey, and we're taking your advice and making some improvements.  The first of which is a simplification of the memorial setup process.  We're trimming it down to make it easier and faster for you to complete.

We started by removing the “search” requirement and set the process to go straight to the form for adding a new memorial. This will save you time, and you'll notice some changes to that form as well. We trimmed the form back to only the fields needed to create the account (Removed information will be added within the memorial editor). We also added some new fields for “Closest Living Relative Information”. This Includes First and last name, and mailing address. This information is very important.

By putting in the family address in when you create a memorial, visitors to your website are 2.2 times more likely to send a sympathy card? In fact, some customers are seeing over 2 cards sent per memorial they post. For many funeral homes that means making more in card sales then the cost of your website and ultimately getting your site for FREE.

That's not the only benefit though. Not only will more cards be sent, but our testing period has shown that visitors prefer sending cards directly to the family or to an individual.

In addition, the family address will be used for future features of the memorial system that may be of great value to you. Soon, you will have the option to send mass mailings to the family addresses, such as holiday cards, advertisements, and other announcements. We're also working on a feature that will enable you to send time delayed “Thinking of You” cards to the family as a followup, set to be delivered at intervals you choose.

Don’t worry about security issues, no one will be able to see that address you enter. It will only be available within the back end of the memorial account, so you'll be the only one who can see it. When Cards are sent to that address, the envelope is automatically printed and the consumer never sees it.

By entering the family address you will increase card sales, make visitors to your website happier and allow yourself to begin using new features to the system as we roll them out.
